// 01 — About Quicksilver

What is Quicksilver?

Quicksilver (QCK) is a Cosmos-based liquid staking zone purpose-built for the interchain. Its product, Quicksilver Liquid Staking, lets users stake any IBC-connected token (ATOM, OSMO, REGEN, STARS, JUNO, DYDX, etc.) and receive a liquid representation that can be used across Cosmos DeFi.

Mainnet launched in December 2022 with Proposal #1 establishing the validator set and inflation parameters. Active set is top 70 validators by stake. The chain has IBC connections to most major Cosmos hubs, making liquid staking liquidity portable across the ecosystem.

Validator operations on Quicksilver are similar to other Cosmos chains operationally, but with the additional context that the chain’s economic flywheel depends on the liquid staking protocol’s usage. Validators that participate in governance shaping the LS protocol have outsized impact.

// 02 — Why stake with 01node

Receipts, not promises.

01

Quicksilver Proposal #1 voter

Voted YES on chain genesis parameters in December 2022. Active in governance since.

02

Strong APR (21-23%)

Reflects Quicksilver’s growth-phase tokenomics — meaningfully higher than mature chains.

03

Horcrux threshold signing

Same threshold-signing architecture as Cosmos Hub — single-host compromise produces no valid signature.

04

5% commission

Competitive commission. Live rate always shown in your wallet.

05

Six-year Cosmos operations

Quicksilver runs on the same threshold-signed Cosmos stack we have operated since 2019. Disclosed-incident history at /security#disclosed-incidents.

// 03 — How to stake

Four steps, two minutes.

  1. 01

    Open Keplr (or Leap)

    Quicksilver is supported natively.

  2. 02

    Click "Stake" on this page

    Deep-links to Keplr with our Quicksilver validator pre-selected on quicksilver-2.

  3. 03

    Confirm QCK amount and sign

    21-day unbonding. Plan liquidity accordingly.

  4. 04

    Or use Quicksilver liquid staking

    Stake other tokens (ATOM, OSMO, etc.) via the Quicksilver app to receive a liquid representation while still earning rewards.

// 04 — Risks & trade-offs

What you should know.

  • Unbonding lock

    21-day window during which QCK earns no rewards and cannot be moved.

  • Slashing risk

    Standard 5% for double-sign. Zero events on our infrastructure across the Cosmos footprint.

  • Liquid staking protocol risk

    If using Quicksilver liquid staking on other chains, you take on the protocol’s smart-contract risk in addition to validator slashing risk.

// 05 — Frequently asked

Quicksilver staking FAQ.

What's the difference between staking QCK and using Quicksilver liquid staking?expand_more

Staking QCK directly secures the Quicksilver chain itself — you delegate to validators like 01node, earn QCK rewards, and your tokens are locked during unbonding. Using Quicksilver liquid staking means staking another token (ATOM, OSMO, etc.) through Quicksilver’s protocol, receiving a liquid representation that can be used in DeFi while still earning the underlying rewards.

Why is Quicksilver APR so high?expand_more

Growth-phase tokenomics: higher inflation incentivises early validators and delegators. As the chain matures, inflation typically declines.

What's 01node’s commission on Quicksilver?expand_more

5% — verifiable on Mintscan and in your wallet.

What is the unbonding period for QCK?expand_more

21 days, standard Cosmos SDK unbonding.

Is Quicksilver safe?expand_more

The Quicksilver chain itself has standard Cosmos SDK security (we and other established operators run it under HSM-backed keys). The liquid staking protocol adds smart-contract risk separate from chain security.

How active is 01node in Quicksilver governance?expand_more

Voted on Proposal #1 and every subsequent proposal. Position rationale published on /operator-credentials.
