What is Persistence?

Persistence (XPRT) is a Cosmos-based chain focused on liquid staking infrastructure. Its native dApp pSTAKE provides liquid staked representations of major proof-of-stake tokens (stkATOM, stkOSMO, stkDYDX, etc.) — letting holders earn staking rewards while keeping liquidity for DeFi.

Mainnet launched in March 2021. Active set is top 75 validators by stake. The chain has shipped a series of upgrades around its liquid staking protocol, IBC routing, and cross-chain DeFi integrations.

For institutional treasuries holding ATOM or OSMO, pSTAKE provides a direct path to liquid staking with a Cosmos-native token rather than relying on Ethereum-bridged liquid staking. Persistence validators secure both the base chain and the liquid staking infrastructure.

Why is Persistence APR so high vs Cosmos Hub?expand_more

Persistence is in an earlier tokenomics phase with higher inflation calibrated to incentivise validators and delegators during ecosystem growth. As the chain matures, inflation typically declines toward the levels seen on Cosmos Hub or Osmosis.

What is pSTAKE and how does it relate to staking XPRT directly?expand_more

pSTAKE is a liquid staking protocol built by the Persistence team. It lets you stake other tokens (ATOM, OSMO, DYDX) and receive a liquid representation. Staking XPRT directly secures the Persistence chain itself; using pSTAKE secures other chains via the protocol’s validator selection.
